Computer Equipment Purchase Request (using Research Funds)

Researchers can complete and submit this form as the initial first step in the process to purchase a computer or computer equipment, under $10,000, using research funds.   

 

How to Purchase ​​​Computer Equipment with Research Funds:
 

  1. COMPLETE & SUBMIT the "Computer Equipment Purchase Request (with research funding)" Online Form​​​​​​ (Researcher)
    • This is the starting point for computer equipment purchasing.
    • Must be submitted by researcher responsible for the research funding account that will be charged.
    • The form requests information such as request, specifications, research funding account (FOAP) to charge, and confirmation funds are available. 
    • Submitting this form creates a ticket to manage the flow of the request.  The ticket will be emailed to the requester and will be used for communication throughout the remainder of the process.
       
  2. QUOTE PROVIDED (EIT)
    • Enterprise Application Services (EIT) will source a quote based on the specifications provided and will send it to the submitter via request ticket email for review and approval.
       
  3. APPROVAL (Researcher)
    • The requester must confirm quote approval via the emailed ticket before EIT can proceed with purchasing.
       
  4. ITEM(S) PURCHASED (EIT)
    • EIT will manage the computer equipment purchasing process. 
       
  5. ITEM PICK UP (Researcher)
    • The requester will be notified via the email ticket when the item(s) is on campus and is available for pick up.
