Setup Microsoft Self-Service Password Reset Security Questions

This article will help you set up security questions on your account in the event you need to recover your account if you can't log in. Please note that this is not an authentication method; it can only be used to reset your password

It is recommended to set a 15-character password that contains common letters, capital letters, numbers, and special characters. 

On your computer, visit outlook.office.com and log in with your SMU email address and the temporary password you were given. 

Once your password has been changed, and you get to the screen shown below, click "Next"

Select a question in every five drop-down menus, then write your answer in the line below it, then hit 'Done'.

Congratulations! You've set up security questions on your account.

Once this has been completed, go to:

Self-Service at SMU | Saint Mary's University

Then go here as directed in the screenshot and log in with your SMU email address and the password that you created.

Press on the top hamburger menu icon to expand the sidebar, then go to the application, or directly press on the application if you recognize the icon

Then go to Banner Self-Service

Then click Employee Profile or Student Information, and your tax forms or pay stubs should be there.
