- Tap on Search at the bottom.

- Tap on the empty search field at the top.

When prompted, verify your Apple account either by Face ID, Touch ID, or by entering the Apple account's password.
- After the installation is complete, tap on the Open button.

If you already have the SMU Safe app installed, or you would like to double-check and verify that the notifications settings are properly configured, please follow the steps below:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Notifications.

- Find the SMU Safe app and tap on it.

- Make sure all the settings are configured as shown in the screenshot below.

- Close Settings and then open the SMU Safe app.
- Go to About / Preferences.

- Tap on Notification Settings.

- Make sure it says Enabled besides Notifications.

We strongly recommend allowing SMU Safe app notifications to come through when any Do Not Disturb modes are enabled on your device as well. Please follow the instructions below to set that up:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Focus.

- Tap on Do Not Disturb.

- Press on Apps.

- Tap and check 'Allow Notifications From', and then press Add Apps.

- Search for the SMU Safe app, and check it.

- The SMU Safe app should now show up as an allowed app that can send you notifications when Do Not Disturb is on.

- Please follow the steps mentioned above for every custom 'Do Not Disturb' profile you use on your iPhone.
Please note that the screenshots and settings layout provided in this article are from an iPhone 16 Pro, running iOS 18.5.
