Installing Konica Printer Driver - MacBook

The Konica Printers at AST are not setup via a printing queue. You will need to manually install the printer driver on the Macbook. This article covers the instructions on how to locate and download the driver, its installation and finally the setup.

Locate and Download the Driver

• Click on this link: kmbs.konicaminolta.us
• Select Support & Downloads

 

• Under the Technical Support section select Global Client Services

• Select Download Drivers

• Type in your Model number in the Quick Search box (Bizhub c554e for AST)

• Select Drivers button

• Choose the Operating System of your Computer. Note: For the MACs with 11+ OS, you can download MacOS Big Sur 11.x package. 

• Click on the link below to start the download.

 

Installing the driver

• Click Save File -> Select OK Remember where you downloaded the Driver

• Find File and double click to Extract program

• Double Click the Install Program

• Continue with the setup

• Select Agree

• Select Install

• Type in the User Name and Password Select -> Install Software

• Select Close

 

Setup the installed MAC Print Driver

• First you open System Preferences as shown here.

• Then you select Printers & Scanners.

• Next you click on the + symbol.

• Click on IP and fill in each item as shown, then click the bottom drop-down indicated. To find the IP of your Konica printer follow these steps:
  • At the machine, press Menu button. Tap Utility -> Device Information.
  • See IPV4 Address "Usually in the format of (10.228. XX. XXX)"

• Choose to Select Software...

• Type kon in search to bring up Konica Minolta drivers and select the appropriate driver.

• You can name it as you like. Then select the Add button. 

• Choose all the installed options that are in your MFP.

• Setup is complete.
