Important: When you reset the password on your account, you would need to forget the Wi-Fi on your device and reconnect using the new credentials.
Connecting to WiFI
On Android
Step 1: From your device home screen go to Settings.
Step 2: Click on Wi-Fi Settings.
Step 3: Select the desired network
AST/SMU faculty, staff and students will use the WiFi Name AST-WIF
Residents that are not AST/SMU faculty, staff or students use the WiFi name AST-GUEST
Step 4: Use the following settings:
EAP Method: PEAP
CA Certificate: Don't Validate
Identity: Email address or S-number
Anonymous Identity: *leave blank*
Domain if asked (when you select the CA Certificate to Don't Validate, the Domain shouldn't be needed): ast-idp.astheology.ns.ca
On iOS
Step 1: Select Settings, then Wi-Fi.
Step2: Select the desired network
AST/SMU faculty, staff and students will use the the WiFi Name AST-WIF
Residents that are not AST/SMU faculty, staff or students use the WiFi name AST-GUEST
Step 3: Log in with your credentials (email address and password)
Step 4: Select Accept or Trust
On Mac or Windows
Step 1: Select the desired network on your Wi-Fi settings.
AST/SMU faculty, staff and students will use the the WiFi Name AST-WIF
Residents that are not AST/SMU faculty, staff or students use the WiFi name AST-GUEST
Step 2:Log in with your credentials.
Step 3: Use domain ast-idp.astheology.ns.ca if prompted.
AST Guests
If you are not a student, faculty or staff of AST or SMU, you should connect to the ‘ast-guest’ network.
