How to Setup Eduroam on Android after the new software update (Android)

NOTE: In December 2020, there's a software update on Android that is removing the ability to check for server certificate validation. This would be an issue setting up the device with Eduroam on and off campus. To Eliminate this issue for our Eduroam clients, CANARIE has given each institution using Eduroam access to the Eduroam Config tool Assistant. Every client that requests a connection for the Eduroam network should use this process to connect or they may have issues connecting.

The following are step by step instructions to download and install Eduroam CAT Profile to be able to connect to Wi-Fi via Eduroam.

Downloading Eduroam CAT Profile

Step #1: Go to https://cat.eduroam.org/

Step #2: Click "Click here to download your eduroam installer"

Step #3: Select Saint Mary's University from the list of institutions.

Step #4: Click on the icon with your device's version of Android.

Step #5: Select Continue on the grey notification pop-up that says "Before you continue with installation on Android systems, please make sure that you have the Eduroam CAT application."

Now you must install the configuration profile. Follow the steps below:
