How To: Share Your Calendar in Office365 (in browser)

  • Click on the Calendar tile from the 'waffle' navigation icon. 

  • From the Calendar screen, on the left-hand side, right-click on Calendar (or the calendar that you want to share) and click Share calendar.

  • On the right-hand side, there will be a textbox for you to type in the name of the person you want to share your calendar with. You can search by typing a name, or click Search directory. (Useful tip: if you create a contact list, you can type the name of that contact list to share to everyone in that particular contact list)

  • Once you have added the names you want to share your calendar with, on the right-hand side of each person, you can select the kind of permissions you want each person to have to your calendar. 
     

Description of the Calendar Permissions from Microsoft:
"
Full details show the time, subject, location, and other details of all items in your calendar. Limited details show the time, subject, and location, but no other information. Availability only shows the time of items on your calendar and no other details.
You can also give someone permission to edit your calendar by choosing Editor or Delegate. An editor can edit your calendar. A delegate can edit your calendar, and can send and respond to meeting requests on your behalf. For more information about editor and delegate access, see Calendar Delegation in Outlook Web App."

  • Once you have selected the permissions for each shared person, click on the Send button at the top of the Calendar sharing pane.

 

  • The persons that you shared your calendar with should get an email that looks like the image below. All they need to do is click Accept to add your calendar to their list of calendars.
