Office365 Apps (on desktop/laptop and mobile devices)

Office365 for Business includes these desktop versions of Office applications:

MS Word Icon MS Outlook Icon OneDrive for Business Icon
Excel Icon Powrpoint icon MS Access Icon
MS Publisher Icon MS Teams Icon OneNote icon



These applications can be installed across multiple devices. An Office365 account has 5 installs of the suite applications across 5 desktops/laptops, 5 installs across 5 smartphones, 5 installs across 5 tablets.

Office provides the following mobile apps:

Android phones: Office for Android, Office Mobile (select models), OneDrive for Business, OWA, Skype for Business

Android tablets: Office for Android, OneDrive for Business, OWA, MS Teams
 

iPads: Office for iPad, OneDrive for Business, OneNote, OWA, MS Teams

iPhones: Office Mobile (select models), OneDrive for Business, OneNote, OWA, MS Teams


Windows Phone 8: Office Mobile, Outlook Mobile, OneNote

Windows 10 Mobile: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Mail and Calendar, OneNote, Skype for Business

Windows tablet: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive for Business,MS Teams, Sway

 

If you don’t want to install any applications, you can still use Office365 through an internet browser just by accessing outlook.office.com, typing in your email address (firstname.lastname@smu.ca) and your s# password. From there, you can access your email and the Online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, etc).
The auto saving feature is the greatest benefit of working on documents in the browser. Even if you haven’t given your document a name yet, it will auto save the document. Never worry about potential crashes again!
