Once the Zscaler client app is installed on a Mac, please make sure that the Zscaler certificate that automatically gets installed with the app is trusted. If the certificate is untrusted by default, you will experience issues with various apps such as Microsoft Teams chat functionality not sending messages.

Step 1: Click on the search icon on your MacOS and search for Keychain Access
search icon

Step 2: Enter the password that you logged in to your computer
password prompt

Step 3: On the left panel under "System Keychains", click on System then scroll down on the right until you find Zscaler Root CA. This should be there after you've installed the Zscaler app.

Step 4: Right-click on the Zscaler Root CA and select Get Info
right-click on certificate

Step 5: in the new window, click on the drop-down arrow where it says Trust, then next to "When using this certificate:" click on the drop-down and make sure you select Always Trust. By default this might be as untrusted or system default

Step 6: close the window and you should be good to go.
