MFA Temporary Access Pass
In the event that you need to access your account but lost or forgotten the device on which you have configured multi-factor authentication, please contact the SMU Helpdesk at helpdesk@smu.ca or 902-496-8111 to obtain a temporary access pass.
Note: We will require your A# and date of birth before your request can be processed
Your request will be processed and once granted, your will be given a temporary password to allow the access on your account.
Once you have the temporary access password, login to any of the SMU services with your email as shown in the instructions below:
Step 1: Login to any SMU service such as your @smu.ca email in portal.office.com:
Step 2: You will be prompted to enter the temporary access pass that was given to you
Once you enter the temporary access pass, you will be able to login to your SMU services.
