NEW LOGIN CREDENTIAL for Self-Service Banner starting March 7, 2022

The way you log into Self-Service Banner is changing on Monday, March 7.

What is changing?

  • Your login credential for Self-Service Banner is changing from your A-Number and PIN to your SMU email address and password:  the same credentials you use to access your @smu.ca email /Office 365.

Why is it changing?

This change is part of a series of upgrades and improvements to the Banner system that will:

  • ensure the university’s systems meet the most current cyber security standards
  • improve functionality and user experience for students

How​​​​ will this impact me?

Effective Monday, March 7, 2022:   

  • If you know your @smu.ca email /Office 365 login credentials (your @smu.ca email address and password) you can immediately use your Office 365 @smu.ca email address and password to log into Self-Service Banner.
     
  • If you do not know your SMU email address and password, go to Activate Your Account to follow instructions (just a few minutes or less!).
